Ariadne OM636 ran for the first time in the last week of the summer vacation after all the setbacks. Especially incorrect piston rings and pump timing took so much time that there was no hope for holiday sailing. But the engine works.

The engine was rebuilt quite well: block and cylinder head machined, cylinders to the first oversize, i.e. 75.5mm. The crankshaft was in standard dimensions, as was the camshaft. Injectors renovated, new pre-chambers, new pistons and rings, new crankshaft and connecting rod bearings, new drive plate, water pump and alternator. More stories when I may have time.
